As a beginer u have to add ur points like this:
2 to str
1 to cons
1to dex
make sure u have at least 12 ess and add stats like this untill you are lvl 25.(don't forget these stats are ONLY before u pick a role - job)
After u have reached to lvl 25 (OC1) - Finish all the 9Dragons Gold roads quests if u still havent and pick a role.
Picking clan id up to u, you can choose whatever clan u like the best since i think every clan has it's own special way to make its Diciples be better.
Also, every clan has its own buff (except for 2 clans), the buff can add atack speed, hp or whatever.
Here is the list of all the hybrid roles in every clan and all the special to this clan buffs u r able to learn if u join.

White Clans:

Wu-Tang: No clan buff.
Main weapon Gloves, secondary Sword.
Mid-fast Buff animation time.

Beggar: +200 HP buff.
Main weapon Gloves, secondary Staff.
Slowest Buff animation time.

Shaolin: +55 Attack Rating buff (does include chi kung attack rating).
Main Weapon Gloves, secondary Pole.
Fast Buff animation time. Male characters only.

Black Clans:

Heavenly Demon: No clan buff.(you are getting faster and stronger kung fu and u get kung fu xp bonus untill lvl 5 or 7).
Main weapon Gloves, secondary Saber 9Dragons Gold.
Fastest Buff animation time.

Brotherhood of Thiefs: +50 Defence buff (does not include chi kung defence).
Main weapon Axe, secondary Spear.
Slow Buff animation time.

Sacred Flower: +55 Dodge (Does not include chi kung dodge)
Main weapon Dagger, secondary Wheels.
Mid Buff animation time. Female charecters only.

your stats: personaly i recomend that u will make a warrior before and when u get HP clothes u can make a hybrid or change a role 9Dragons Gold. (u r able to do this only once so be carfully).
